How have departments of Spanish and Portuguese garnered resources for teaching and research missions in Latin American literatures and cultures? How do such units articulate with the larger administrative bodies of which they are a part? What are the challenges facing these units, internally and in the university? In this context, participants discuss particular initiatives and strategies.
