Does the alleged divide between identity politics and experimental writing persist in United States poetry? Scholars of Asian American, Latin@, and African American poetry debate what can be learned from a multiethnic, cross-field discussion that cannot be by focusing on a single racial or ethnic group. How can diasporic, hemispheric, or postcolonial approaches advance the conversation?
